Ingredients



  • 2
    cups

    milk



  • 1/2
    pound

    strawberries
    ,
    hulled and sliced



  • 2
    Tablespoons

    sugar

    white chocolate

Instructions

  • Combine the hulled and sliced strawberries with the sugar in a bowl. Let the mixture sit for about 30 minutes, or until the strawberries release their juices and become wonderfully macerated. Once juicy, transfer them to a food processor or blender and blend until a smooth puree is formed.
  • In a small saucepan, gently heat the milk over medium-low heat. Be careful not to let it boil. Add the white chocolate pieces and stir continuously until the chocolate is completely melted and smoothly incorporated into the milk. Next, stir in the prepared strawberry puree. Continue to simmer the mixture for a few minutes, allowing all the flavors to meld beautifully.
  • For a silky smooth hot chocolate, pour the mixture through a fine-mesh strainer into serving mugs to remove any strawberry seeds. Garnish generously with marshmallows or a dollop of whipped cream for an extra touch of indulgence before serving warm.
