Homemade Pumpkin Biscoff Bread: The Ultimate Edible Gift for Any Season

As the leaves begin to turn and a crispness fills the air, we’re reminded that the season of giving is just around the corner. Finding thoughtful, personal gifts for everyone on your list – from dear neighbors and dedicated teachers to supportive caregivers and even your reliable mail carrier – can be a delightful challenge. I’ve always believed that gifts crafted with time and effort carry an extra layer of appreciation. There’s something inherently special about receiving a homemade treat, whether it’s a batch of freshly baked cookies or a warm, spiced loaf of bread, that a store-bought gift card simply can’t replicate.
It’s in this spirit of heartfelt giving that we join Susan from The Wimpy Vegetarian, who is hosting the inspiring #SundaySupper “Holiday Gifts from the Kitchen” event. This gathering celebrates the art of creating edible delights perfect for sharing love and warmth during the festive months. And today, I’m thrilled to share a recipe that embodies this sentiment perfectly: my tender and flavorful Pumpkin Biscoff Bread.

The Inspiration Behind This Perfect Quick Bread
Since moving into our new home over the summer, settling into a long cul-de-sac has meant a wonderful opportunity to connect with many new faces. I’ve been looking for a charming way to introduce myself and express a warm welcome to our community, and what better way than through the universal language of food? Baking mini loaves of bread to deliver around the neighborhood felt like the ideal gesture – a delicious icebreaker, if you will, to meet everyone on our block.
The idea for this particular combination of pumpkin and Biscoff first caught my eye on Love From The Oven, where the recipe used applesauce and flax meal for a delightful twist. Shortly after, I discovered another fantastic version by Budget Gourmet Mom, which incorporated Greek yogurt. The idea of using Greek yogurt immediately resonated with me. It’s a wonderful ingredient for baking, not only adding incredible moisture and a tender crumb but also subtly lightening up the bread, making it feel a little less indulgent without sacrificing any flavor. This discovery sealed the deal, and I knew I had to create my own rendition of this unique quick bread.
Why Pumpkin and Biscoff Are a Match Made in Heaven
If you haven’t experienced the magic of pumpkin and Biscoff together, you’re in for a real treat. Pumpkin brings its signature earthy sweetness and beautiful autumnal color, perfectly complemented by a blend of warm spices. Biscoff spread, with its distinct caramelized biscuit flavor, adds a creamy richness and a subtle crunch that elevates the entire profile of the bread. It’s a combination that truly sings, evoking cozy memories and comforting flavors. This isn’t the first time I’ve experimented with this incredible duo, and it certainly won’t be the last. The resulting bread is wonderfully tender, bursting with that beloved pumpkin flavor, and has an unexpected depth from the Biscoff.

Gifting Your Homemade Pumpkin Biscoff Bread
This recipe is incredibly versatile, yielding either four charming mini loaves or one full-sized loaf – perfect if you’re not quite ready to share all that deliciousness! For gifting, mini loaves are undeniably adorable and make for perfect individual presents. Once baked and cooled, I simply printed the recipe, glued it onto a festive colored piece of paper, and then packaged each mini loaf in a clear plastic gift bag tied with pretty ribbons. It’s a simple yet elegant presentation that shows how much thought you’ve put into your homemade gift.
If you’re feeling extra generous and truly adore your neighbors (or simply want to spoil yourself!), you might consider baking these in ceramic mini loaf pans. I’ve often spotted these at craft stores like Michael’s for a very reasonable price, sometimes as low as $1.99. Gifting the bread baked directly in a reusable ceramic pan adds an extra special touch that recipients will surely cherish long after the last crumb is gone.
Tips for Baking the Perfect Pumpkin Biscoff Bread
- Don’t Overmix: When combining your wet and dry ingredients, mix just until they are combined. Overmixing can lead to a tough bread. A few lumps are perfectly fine!
- Use Quality Ingredients: Fresh pumpkin puree (not pie filling) and good quality Biscoff spread will make a noticeable difference in flavor.
- Check for Doneness: Use the toothpick test. Insert a wooden skewer or toothpick into the center of the loaf; if it comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs, the bread is ready. If it’s sticky, continue baking for a few more minutes.
- Cool Properly: Allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 10-15 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely. This prevents it from getting soggy and helps maintain its shape.
- Storage: Once completely cooled, store the bread in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3-4 days, or in the refrigerator for up to a week. For longer storage, it freezes beautifully for up to 3 months.

- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
Instructions
-
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (160 degrees C). Prepare 1 standard loaf pan, or 4 mini loaf pans with non-stick cooking spray.

-
In a separate medium bowl, mix together the granulated sugar, salt, baking soda, cinnamon, ground ginger, all-purpose flour, and whole wheat flour.

Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan(s).
-
Bake for 1 hour for a full-sized loaf, or 40 minutes for mini pans, or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
-
